BexBioTec is a young, up-and-coming start-up company that is driving the development process of new sustainable plant treatments. To this purpose, we offer rapid biotechnological testing methods to study the effect of plant treatments on monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous crops. We support your product development with our expertise and adapt our methods to your needs. To this end, we are constantly improving our established methods and are on the lookout for new, complementary process technologies.


Our  Bex-Assay supports your product development by quickly giving you an impression of how your product affects the growth or stress tolerance (abiotic and/or biotic) of a crop. Our Bex-Assay can be performed within only a few days - saving you time and money - and helps you to identify interesting candidate substances for further studies, new projects and accelerates the market entry of new products.

For this purpose, we developed an efficient and rapid test that facilitates the evaluation of  effects of various treatments, such as biostimulants, on crops. The flexibility of our test system enables us to work with monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous plant species at any stage of development - from seedlings to mature plants. In addition, we can support you in finding the best possible application for your product.

Biostimulanzien, Pflanzenstärkungsmittel testen

We offer classic plant growth assays to give you an overview of the effect of your treatment on biomass production. In our lean and fast setups, we analyze various growth parameters such as biomass production, root development or germination rates. We are constantly looking for new ways to evaluate plant treatments to expand our product portfolio.

Some of our projects are carried out in cooperation with the Westphalian Wilhelms-University of Münster (WWU). We help to improve technology transfer from the university to the free economy and offer you the opportunity to benefit from innovative methods from cutting-edge research - such as the molecular and bioinformatical analysis of your products (e.g. amino acid composition, sugar analysis, element analysis, RNA sequencing).

We are already working with various medium-sized companies. For example, we are in contact and collaborate with the research and development company Synergie GmbH from Münster. In addition, we regularly seek contact with other customers and project partners in order to evaluate the market needs and to improve our skills.


The cultivable agricultural area per person is decreasing, while the so-called use-pressure on these areas is increasing due to the growing world population, resource-intensive consumption patterns and drastic environmental changes. In short, a growing world population requires more food, sustainable renewable materials and energy. Accordingly, the development of new biotechnological methods for increasing yields in agriculture by examining and understanding the effect of environmentally friendly plant treatments is of crucial importance. With a view to the ecological fingerprint, the focus is primarily on sustainable, environmentally friendly plant treatments. Therefore, we want to support companies in this development of new sustainable plant treatments with our innovative products and our expertise in the best possible way.
